Overview
Relationships

Just John is a supporting character in the Enemy series, first appearing in The Enemy. He was the leader of the Squatters, and acts as an antagonist in every appearance.

Appearance

Just John was described as ugly, with missing teeth and a shaved head with patterns in his short hair. He only wore shorts and his bare chest is crudely tattooed[1].

Personality

Just John was known as tough, and is very unbalanced and not very intelligent. He is vicious and unpredictable and hates the Palace Kids and all other organised and ordered kids. He has sociopathic tendencies, preferring to damage property and harm defenseless individuals (such as Paddy, who was a member of his camp at the time) just because he feels like it[2]. However, he is also extremely arrogant and made the mistake of continuously taunting Achilleus during the course of the fight, to the point of incredibly overconfidence. He is also homophobic and taunted Achilleus with the idea that he was gay[3].

History

Nothing is provided about John's life prior to the disaster. At some point within the first year, John and a small group make camp in St. James Park, assaulting the kids from Buckingham Palace who were using the lands as a garden and pulling up their crops. Although the camp is disorganized and poorly maintained with a high turnover rate, John still has a small band of loyal followers[4].

Abilities

Skillset

  • Skilled Combatant: John was an exceptionally talented close-range fighter, easily able to overpower Achilleus during their fight.
  • Agility: John has shown to be very quick, especially in combat.

  • Shield: During his fight with Achilleus, John wields a shield to make the fight even
