Synopsis
The Enemy (2009)
Monkey Boy attends Arran's meeting after he returns from the pool, insisting that the crew is doing alright and Arran is a good leader for them.[1] After Jester is seen outside, he brings Arran a dynamo torch.[2] Despite believing there are grown-ups who will rescue them,[3] he follows everyone else to the Palace.
Monkey Boy travels with Ella, Curly Sam, Joel, and Blu-Tack Bill. Early on, the group is attacked by Saint George and his army, leading Whitney, Maeve, and Ben to protect the younger kids, including Monkey Boy. After Arran's death, the group heads towards Regent's Park, which excites Monkey Boy as they pass the zoo, although the kids get frightened thinking about the animals that escaped. The group is then attacked by infected chimpanzees, leading to the kids scattering. Monkey Boy and Ella are soon rescued by Maxie and Freak. Due to Joel's death in Regent's Park, Monkey Boy, Ella, and Blu-Tack Bill share custody of Godzilla, Joel's puppy.
Monkey Boy and the survivors arrive at Buckingham Palace, welcomed by David King and invited to a big feast. Although he is not mentioned during the group's stay at the Palace, Monkey Boy escaped the Palace with the others.
The Fallen (2013)
Monkey Boy arrives at the Natural History Museum with the others, having been taken there by Brooke, to find it in disarray and under attack from sickos. Monkey Boy and the other non-fighters are taken by Whitney to a safe area until the museum is cleared of sickos. Due to the fight, Monkey Boy, Ella, and Blu-Tack Bill are unable to sleep, with Monkey Boy sharing that he wanted to return to the Palace where it was safe. They are told to go to sleep by Wiki, who promises to take them to see the chickens in the morning. True to his word, Monkey Boy, Ella, and Blu-Tack Bill are shown the chickens by Wiki, alongside Jibber-jabber. Later, Monkey Boy eats the rest of Blu-Tack Bill's food and meets Froggie and Zohra.
Much later, while the older kids still keep their watch for Paul Channing, Monkey Boy continues to climb, including a stone support on a dare from Ella to get a cookie from her. However, once Ella catches up to him on the second floor, the pair look at the Neanderthals and cavemen in the human exhibit, only to see Paul staring at them. The pair scream as Paul gives chase, but he is scared off as Maeve saves the pair. Due to no longer feeling safe at the museum, Monkey Boy and Ella agree to join Maeve and Robbie to head towards the countryside.
Monkey Boy rides with Robbie watching out the window as they drive out of London, finally passing the M25, and happy to finally be in the countryside, as he started to get carsick. Maeve finds the Monkey Island Hotel and shares the joke with the two younger kids, and the four pull off for the night. However, Ella wakes in the middle of the night to find both Robbie and Maeve dead. Running from sickos, she sees what she can only describe as a "creature" holding Monkey Boy's lifeless corpse, and stands terrified as it grabs her.
The Hunted (2014)
Ella wakes up to find Monkey Boy laying in the grass outside of the hotel. He tells her "the grown-up" saved them; although, unbeknownst to him, it was a deeply scarred Malik Hussein. He tells her that he woke up to find the bathroom and opened the wrong door, getting attacked by sickos. He noted how Maeve was already dead until Malik jumped in to save Monkey Boy. Ella turns on the wind-up to shine some light on Monkey Boy's wounds, and sees his forearms were slashed and his stomach had been torn open, as the sickos had tried to eat him alive. Ella is attacked by rescued by Malik, and, although she wants to back for Monkey Boy, Malik pulls her away. Monkey Boy bleeds out on the grass outside of the hotel.
