Tom was a boy from the Palace, around fourteen or fifteen and goes with Jester on a exploration mission in search of kids to the north who could help be an army to drive out the Squatters. He wields a sword, and is constantly complaining. His girlfriend is Kate, who accompanies him on the journey. After Shadowman is hit with the club at King's Cross Station, Tom and Kate run away from the group. Shadowman later sees Tom and Kate being dragged out of a house and eaten by the Fear.
